Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Do you have an ambition to make a real difference in the lives of elderly Australians?
You will learn to support and facilitate the empowerment of older people, to provide support to people with dementia, to recognise healthy body systems, to support relationships with carers and families and to provide individualised support.
Training modules will also focus on managing legal and ethical compliance and following safe work practices for client care.
Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
What are the entry requirements?
CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support has a theory and a practical component which must both be completed satisfactorily before a student can be declared overall competent. Applicants of this qualification are required to complete 120 hours of supervised practical placement in an Aged Care Facility or demonstrate evidence they have the work skills required for example those already working in the industry.
